Hey all, I am from the ECE branch and got into learning programming so it would help me get placed. So started learning python in my 5th sem and the resource I used was programiz.com/python-programming (programiz website) and this helped me a lot and as of now I learnt till the concept of OOPs but even though I still need to brush up on a few concepts.
Then switched to Java, as it was preferred by companies and the resource used for this is youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9gnSGHSqcnr_DxH.. (Kunal's dsa boot camp) and at the same time it had Devops boot camp but I was not much cared about it and learnt Java up to some extent and understood that learning syntax is not a big deal it is about finding logic to solve a problem, so used to solve problems and was able to solve medium level problems and could able to understand the code by seeing the solution for higher-level problems and at that point, I understood competitive programming is not my cup of tea. I felt putting the same efforts into some other domain would benefit me a lot.
I heard from a few seniors and others that knowing Git and GitHub would be helpful so learnt it from the same Kunal's DevOps boot camp and by this time I have finished my 7th sem. Obviously now want to explore DevOps and I am very much confident that I will finish the full DevOps Bootcamp (Kunal's DevOps Bootcamp) As of now I have finished docker and won't get into k8s and need to revise previous topics. I am very much sure that this will go very well unlike competitive programming.
Other domains that I have an interest is cloud computing, cyber security, and backend i.e SQL. But one step at a time, let me first finish Devops as of now I have got so much interest and queries to learn it.
Prior to my 5th sem which was during covid, I just got a video suggestion of a web development course on YouTube and then learnt HTML, CSS and a little bit of Javascript for practice's sake, I made a few projects, you can check it out here github.com/DhanushGowda26 and after all these, I landed in my 5th sem learning python and got to know not to dive into Javascript, you will know why if you have come here by reading all through also not to forget that I am an Electronics and Communication Engineer.
